Former Garry Rogers Motorsport co-driver David Wall and long-time Kelly Racing driver David Russell joins the already strong endurance lineup at Nissan Motorsport.
Wall come off a double-podium finish at the Gold Coast 600 last year with kiwi Scott McLaughlin, as he joins Nissan Motorsport and will partner co-owner and lead driver Rick Kelly.
“We had a good campaign last year, and I always thought that Rick and I would be a good combination,” Wall said.
“It’s a nice change this year to try a new car and team. The first time I’ll drive the car will be at the Winton co-driver session, which is getting closer and closer.
“My job is to back up Rick and give the car back to him in the same condition I got it. That will be my goal this year.”
David Russell who has been at Kelly Racing for a very long time, since 2011 is excited to help Nissan’s newest full-time recruit Simona de Silvestro to get up to speed this Pirtek Enduro Cup season.
“Having the knowledge of the Nissan package, my job is to back up Simona in what she needs from the car,” said Russell.
“I’ve had a longer time in the car to understand what it might be like at the end of the race at a place like Bathurst. So I’ll be there to help with that kind of experience as well.”
As already reported, Le Brocq will replace Campbell as the Carsales Racing’s co-driver while Dean Fiore returns as Caruso’s endurance driver for the fourth consecutive year.
