Iain Sherrin posted the fastest time in today’s qualifying session giving him pole position for tomorrow’s 6-Hour race as the sole kiwi driver racing in the race, Craig Baird will start in the top ten.

Sherrin posted a time that was 0.441 seconds quicker than anyone else, while the #62 entry of Luke Searle, Paul Morris and Barry Graham got their BMW on the front row tomorrow.

The defending race champions Chaz Mostert and Nathan Morcom qualified deep in the field, 17th in their NPO/Supercheap Auto Ford Focus, which makes their title defence a lot harder.

The sole kiwi racing tomorrow is Craig Baird who had the team owner Garth Walden qualified the Mercedes-Benz A45 AMG in the top ten (10th) which is a healthly starting position for the kiwi.

Baird became the sole kiwi entered into the race following the Ford Focus entry featuring the father-son Quinn combo and their Highlands test driver Andrew Waite withdrew their entry before the event started.
